The end of a war, somewhere in the world. A wounded soldier gets up in a hospital bedroom. Next to him, another disabled soldier. Despite their sufferings and their handicaps, the two men are going to find an unexpected way to figure out what's going on outside.

The movie charts the birth of a moving complicity following the meeting of two injured soldiers in a hospital room. Of crucial importance are the actors, and the way they have been directed. The two protagonists are well-known theatre and cinema stars. The challenge with Conversations was to avoid pathos and sentimentalism and to achieve the right tonal pitch in a quiet and conventional mise-en-scène. In describing to his friend images he seems to see but which he has just imagined, the soldier echoes the position of the filmmaker.

يتتبع الفيلم ميلاد تواطؤ متحرك بعد مواجهة جنديين جريحيين في غرفة في مستشفى. ويرجع الفضل في أول فيلم قصير لزايد إلى الممثلين والطريقة التي تم إخراج عملهم بها. فبطلا العرض نجما مسرح وسينما شهيران. ويتمثل التحدي في "حوارات" في تجنب الإحساس بالشفقة والإغراق في العاطفة والوصول إلى الإيقاع الصحيح في إخراج هذا العمل الذي يتسم بالهدوء والتقليدية. وبالنسبة للجندي الذي يصف لزميله صور يبدو أنه يراها ولكنه في الواقع تخيلها لتردد موقف صانع الفيلم.
