Founded in 2007, PORTEURS D'IMAGES association is a non-profit making association which aims to develop and promote the film industry in Mauritius and in the Indian Ocean region. The association brings together Mauritian film professionals : filmmakers, producers, technicians, actors, scriptwriters, etc.. Since 2007, PORTEURS D'IMAGES association has been organizing Ïle Courts-International Short Film Festival in Mauritius.

From 2014 till 2016, PORTEURS D'IMAGES is beneficiary of ACPCultures+ Programme, with the financial contribution of European Union and the concours of ACP States Group, for the project named THE ARCHIPELAGO OF CINEMAS.
