dopted by a family from Chebika, a village on the edge of the Sahara, Rima, a 19-year-old woman, dreams of a different life, far from her desert landscapes. Illiterate, she wants to learn, discover, learn and live free. The men, in the nearby quarry, extract the stone, while the women go to the daily tasks. One day, the men of the village, dissatisfied with their miserable wages, decided to stop their hard work as stone-breakers in a nearby quarry and went on strike. The army is then ordered to intervene. While women sacrifice a sheep to protect them, men silently face the soldiers who threaten them.
