Göran Hugo Olsson was born 1965 in Lund, Sweden. He graduated from the Royal University of Fine Arts in Stockholm after film studies at Stockholm University, and has since traveled the world making shorts, commercials, documentaries, and music videos. Olsson is a member of the editorial board of Ikon South Africa-a platform for the creative documentary in South Africa. The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975 (2011) is his third feature documentary.

Documentary filmmaker and manufacturer of his own innovation, the A-Cam, a Super-16 film camera. Has traveled the world making films for television since the late 80's. Editor as well as founder of the short documentary TV program Ikon (SVT). Prior to that on SVT:s "Elbyl" series. Co-founder of Story AB where he made bold, strong and drastic films like "Fuck you, fuck you very much". As well as commercials and music videos.
