The documentary goes throughout the twentieth century and its political movements : the independence of Tunisia, the forced exile of the Jews, May 68, the adventure of Vincennes University. Sexuality, the body in the literature of Colette, Simone de Beauvoir and Marguerite Duras are evoked in long sequences that remain relevant to this day. History of feminism is told by the works of women in arts : painting, photography and cinema throughout the centuries.
