Patrice, a 40-something actor of mixed race, powdered and dressed as a 19th-century courtesan, wins the audition organized by the almighty casting director Selenna Meyer. Assisted by Betty, she is looking for the lead role in the new movie adaptation of La Dame au Camélia. Among the young and pretty pretenders, Patrice will have a hard time legitimizing his presence.
