This film tells the story of the first generation of Algerian immigrants who landed in the shantytowns located in the waste grounds of Nanterre. It was there, in a strange atmosphere exacerbated by the French police repression, on those muddy narrow streets that the Algerian war catched them up revealing the political struggle between the FLN and the MNA (the two major Algerian nationalist organisations) which struggled for the control of the Algerian community.
