Ramallah this decade. A free spirited woman dancer, Kamar, finds herself the wife of a prisoner, Zaid. Away from everything she loves until she returns to the dance where Kamar is confronted with Kais, a Palestinian returnee. Sparks fly between Kamar and Kais, creating more than a passionate, emotional dance for the both of them.
At the same time the family's legal case against the land confiscation faces one obstacle after another. Kamar's life is thrown into turmoil as she becomes increasingly attached to Kais, and caught in the midst of her desire to dance and breaking the family and society taboos of the prisoner's wife's role while life under occupation rages on.

Ramallah en la actualidad. Kamar, una bailarina de espíritu libre, tiene que enfrentarse al hecho de convertirse en la mujer de un prisionero, Zaid. Se aleja de todo lo que ama hasta que vuelve al baile, donde se enfrenta a Kais, un palestino retornado. La atracción surge entre Kamar y Kais, dando comienzo a un baile que irá más allá de la pasión y las emociones.
Al mismo tiempo, el juicio de la familia por la confiscación de sus tierras tiene que hacer frente a un obstáculo tras otro. La desazón crece en la vida de Kamar a medida que se va sintiendo más unida a Kais y se ve atrapada en su deseo por bailar y romper con los tabúes sociales y familiares respecto al papel de la esposa de un prisionero.
