By staging part of her story, Zorah, a playwright of Franco-Algerian origin, awakens the ghosts of the past, including the terrible figure of her father, Ahmed, a militant of the Algerian independence movement who came to fight on French soil.
Zorah was only able to bring back her sister Norah from Algeria where Ahmed had also taken Redah, her little brother, after kidnapping them following the divorce obtained by the mother.
Since then, like her mother Leïla, she has been haunted by the question: where is Redah?
Thirty years later, when rehearsals for her play "Brothers" begin, a family earthquake occurs: Norah and Djamila, her younger sister, are ready to declare war on her for breaking the silence, which for her family is an act of betrayal.
But the sisters' war will not take place.
Informed that the father is hospitalized in Algiers, the mother demands that Zorah leave to search for him with her sisters, the last and final chance for her to see her son again.
What will they find in a boiling Algeria?
The father is no longer in hospital, he may be in Kabylia, but Tizi Ouzou is far away, especially when the streets of the capital are invaded by hundreds of thousands of demonstrators... when the statues of the founding fathers fall, when the wind of the revolution rises.
