Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal were both born and raised in Philadelphia. Friends since they were 11 years old, they have been working together for more than a decade. "The Words" (2011) marks their return to Sundance; the film was workshopped at the Filmmakers Lab in 2000. Since that time they have worked on many different projects, including "TRON: Legacy". Currently, they are writing the adaptation of "Rex Mundi" for Johnny Depp's Infinitum Nihil and Warner Brothers. "The Words" (2011) is their directorial debut.
