In July 2013, Suzy Gillet was appointed curator of Film Africa 2013 (London), by The Royal African Society.

Suzy Gillett is an accomplished programmer, curator and festival and postgraduate training producer. She is currently producer for London Film School EU MEDIA post graduate training programmes.Low Budget Film Forum 2008-2013 and Making Waves 2011-2012. Her previous curating includes: Film Curator Marrakech Biennale 2012; Co-curator of Women's Cinema from Tangiers to Tehran 2008 with James Neil, the programme toured US universities through ArteEast.

She was the Artistic Director of Mosaiques World Cinema Festival 2005-2008 and during her time at the Institut Francais in London she was worked extensively on multiple events including : Co-ordinator Voyages European Documentary Festival 200; Curator African Film Focus 2007;Co-ordinator Vintage 1957 European features 2007; Curator Real to Reel Franco-British Documentary Festival 2006; Co-ordinator Renault French Film Festival with Unifrance 2005-2007.In 2000 she set up a co-operative film collective ScreenStation, screening World Cinema Documentaries until 2005. Concurrently she worked as Festival Administrator for Keith Shiri's Africa At the Pictures 2003-2004 and for over seven year's she was Print Co-ordinator for the late Kenji Shirashi's African Film Festival, Tokyo 1994-2004.

Suzy is LFS International Relations Manager where she runs the annual EU MEDIA funded Low Budget Film Forum (www.lowbudgetfilmforum.eu) and Making Waves (www.makingwavesworkshop.eu) programmes and collaborates in the EU MEDIA projects: Adapting for Cinema, A Clear View and SerialEyes.

A graduate of St Martin's College of Art experimental filmmaking department she worked in documentary and television production in Paris for six years before returning to London and working at the Institut Francais as the Artisitic Director of the Mosaiques Festival of world culture for 5 years. She also works as a French interpreter.
