Fete de la Musique, was first launched in France in 1982, on June 21 which is the day of the summer solstice, every year. It began as an informal affair, with bands playing in the streets, in a quasi-spontaneous celebration of music and summer. Today, it has become one of a key event in over 340 cities in 110 countries, without loosing touch with its easygoing roots!
In Vanuatu La Fete de la Musique gives the opportunity to undiscovered local talents to shine and be exposed before the big Fest Napuan festival which takes place in October/November of every year. It is a day of celebrating music in Port Vila, Luganville Santo, Lenakel Tanna and in Malekula.
