In a parched desert village, Hamid (by Youssef Hamid) is the son of a landowner whose family property is claimed by usurpers. Hamid's destiny is intertwined with those of wanderer Hadda (Zohra Obaha) and Hadda's sister (Thourayah). Weaving through the proceedings is The Poet, inclined towards allegorical pronouncements concerning the characters and events. The Poet is played by Mohamed Mechaal, who also worked on the screenplay of Hadda.
