The poet, slamer, performer Paul Wamo is presenting a new show called "Ekooo" at Alliance française de Port-Vila and Alliance française of Santo. This show is a special work of transformations of the kanak traditional ceremony speeches :  Speeches of welcome, death, genealogy, goodbyes all have a specific function, codes of ryhtms, gestures, postures..
Paul Wamo has collected them over the years and found what underlies behind the codes, "Where form and content are one, where a people express themselves strongly, with accuracy and conviction, where one feels the untouchable and the invisible. "
Ékoooo is not an ethnological restitution this is a search for new sounds, a singular creation, original and powerful.
Ekooo is co-produced by the Cultural Center Tjibaou show. It has been successfully presented at the Quai Branly in Paris last November during the exhibition "L'Art est une parole" ("Art is a word") Writing-staging-interpretation: Paul Wamo. From 14 years
