Gator Queen is a group from Melbourne. Two of them are coming to perform at Alliance française of Port-Vila, Vanuatu on the 7th of march for a special french musik festival that happens every year around this time called Francosonik.
The musicians have made a special selection of "french" songs for the event, taking inspiration from the rythms and songs of the bayous of Louisiana. Adding créole, zydeco and rhythm'n'blues to their own repertoire.

The Gator Queen is composed of : « The Queen » Matilda Robertson who plays the accordeon and sings in creole, french and english, and Mike StClair (Benny and the Flybyniters, Bluestone Junction) at doublebass ; Steve Phillips (Ska Vendors, Melbourne Ska Orchestra) percussionist and J Goody Goodman from New Orleans at the guitar.

For this «Festival FrancoSonik », the Queen and J Goody Goodman will play in duo;
The FrancoSonik event is organised by Alliance française in partnership with TVL (Telecom Vanuatu limited) sponsored by Coopération régionale (Gouvernement de Nouvelle-Calédonie et Fonds Pacifique) and the French Embassy in Port-Vila.
